I checked this book out from the library called Exit Music: The Radiohead Story. The stories about the band members in their early years are hilarious, mainly because of Thom's personality and defiance of authority.

This one page of the book made me laugh my ass off.

For a little background, Thom and another friend were playing music for a modern version of a Midsummer Night's Dream that his school was putting on.

--From Exit Music

"There was this tense dress rehearsal, and Thom and this other fella were jamming freeform cod jazz throughout it. The director stopped the play and shouted up to this scaffold tower thing that they were playing on, trying to find out what the hell was going on. Thom started shouting down, "I don't know what the fuck we're supposed to be playing!" And this was to a teacher."

I can just picture 15-year-old Thom yelling this down at a teacher. It's rich.

There you have it. That made me laugh a lot. (That was a quote of Ed O'Brien compiled in the book Exit Music)

Okay, guys, hey wassup? I'm making a band and am having a hard time deciding what the hell to call it. These are the names that my band were interested in. So vote, even if this doesn't relate exactly to Radiohead. I don't know, I'd appreciate your advice on this topic.

well, the info for the community says we can post poems and such, and i'm really interested in reading some of other people's stuff.... in an effort to get the ball rolling, here are a few things i've written over the last couple of years which are somewhat radiohead-inspired (though not necessarily radiohead-esque....)

you can find a bunch more of my stuff here if you're interested...

anyways, here are a few...Collapse )
